Booking
Simply click on the time of showing you want on the What's On page. You’ll be redirected to our online booking system, hosted by Jack Roe (CS) Ltd. If you haven’t purchased tickets online with us before, you will need to accept the Jack Roe browser cookie to continue.
Select the quantity of the ticket types you wish to book and click ‘Accept’. Most of our showings use unreserved seating so you don’t need to choose where you’d like to sit until you arrive here.
Then a booking fee is added (35p per ticket, up to a maximum of £2.10 per transaction). To confirm your purchase, double check the details of your booking are correct and click ‘I want to buy these tickets’.
Enter your contact information and card information, then click ‘Purchase Your Tickets’. If you’ve got it set up with your bank / card provider, you may need to then complete further security checks with ‘Verified by Visa’ or ‘MasterCard SecureCode’.
Once you’ve successfully completed this, you’ll receive an email to confirm your order.
Can I book seats by telephone?
Yes. Our booking telephone line on 01462 681088 is usually open daily from 3pm to 7.30pm. There is a booking fee of 35p per ticket, up to maximum charge of £2.10 per transaction.
What methods of payment do you accept?
Online and over the phone, we accept payment by:
Debit or credit card, including MasterCard, Visa, Visa Delta, Maestro and Electron. The transaction will appear on your statement as ‘Jack Roe (CS) Ltd’, the name of our payments administrator.
In person, we accept payment by all the above and cash.
You can collect pre-booked tickets from our automatic ticket collection machine in our foyer or at the counter. Please bring along the debit or credit card you used to order the tickets to retrieve your booking.
I’d like to visit and book in advance of the showing. When are you open?
We open daily from 15 minutes before our first showing until 15 minutes after our last showing starts.
How can you tell whether showings are in 2D or 3D?
If a showing is in 3D, it will be stated in the title of the film listed on the What's On page of this website. All other showings are standard 2D presentations.
I want to book a showing that isn’t listed. Can I?
Normally, as most other cinema operators do, we confirm our programme up to a maximum of seven days in advance. For blockbuster releases, we may announce our showing times slightly earlier than this.
Can I change or cancel my booking?
All sales are non-refundable. In certain circumstances, an exchange or re-admission may be offered. Your statutory rights are not affected.

When are tickets priced £4.50 each?
£4.50 tickets are available for every showing on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday; and also at showings on Friday with a start time before 5pm.
How much extra are tickets for 3D showings?
A ticket for a 3D showing is £2 extra. If you don’t bring your own 3D glasses, you will also need to purchase a pair for £1, to be able to watch the film.
Do you participate in Orange Wednesdays? How can I get this discount?
Yes. Broadway Cinema is signed up to Orange Wednesdays. If you are an Orange customer, text FILM to 241 (premium text rate applies) and show the unique code you receive at the counter when choosing your showing to get two tickets for the price of one. 3D films cost £2 extra. Orange Wednesday is only redeemable at our counter.
Up to what age is your child ticket valid for?
Our child tickets are valid for children aged up to 15 years.
Our family ticket admits four people to the same showing, in a party which must include at least one adult and two children.
Do I need to bring identification to purchase a concessionary ticket?
You may be required to present identification to purchase a concessionary ticket. Concessionary tickets are valid for customers aged 60 and over, along with students in full time education.

Getting to Broadway Cinema
Where is the nearest Railway Station?
Letchworth Garden City railway station is less than five minutes walk away.
A public car park is located across the road, next to the Town Hall.
Where is the nearest Bus Stop? And what services stop there?
The nearest bus stop to Broadway Cinema is Stop F on Gernon Road, outside Red Chinese Chinese Restaurant. Visit the Intalink website for timetable details. The services 55, 97, 97A and 99 all stop there regularly.
Disabled access
What is access like for customers with limited mobility?
All areas of our Cinema are accessible to customers with limited mobility including wheelchair users. A lift is available to Screen One and Screen Four from the main foyer, with a wheelchair lift up to the auditorium of Screen One.
I need to book a ticket for a wheelchair user. How can I do this?
Each of our auditoria has designed spaces for wheelchairs and their carers. The best way to book in this instance is to call our Card Booking line on 01462 681088 between 3pm and 7.30pm or visit the Cinema in person.
Do you accept Cinema Exhibitors' Association (CEA) cards?
Yes. As part of a general cinema industry initiative, we accept CEA Cards, which entitles the holder to one free ticket for their carer. For further information please visit the CEA website.
One of our party has a guide or hearing dog? Is it allowed in the auditorium?
Yes. We welcome guide or hearing dogs in all our auditoria. If you tell us in advance, we’ll make sure an aisle seat is reserved and a bowl of water is available.
One of our party is hearing impaired? Will they be able to hear clearly?
Our auditoria 1, 2 and 3 are fitted with an hearing enhancement systems. Hearing aid users should turn their aids to the ‘t position’. Our fourth auditorium uses an infrared headphone system, available from the counter.

Yes. Perfect for a gift or special thank you, these are available in £5 and £10 denominations from our Box Office, redeemable against tickets and / or food and refreshments at our concessions counter.

Can I bring my own food and drink with me?
We operate a strict no own-food and drink policy and may refuse entry to customers with food or drink on them, purchased outside our cinema.
The food and drink we offer at our concessions stand is selected with the consideration of our customers in mind; purchased to protect our furnishings and other customers’ clothing.
Are the auditoria air-conditioned and temperature-controlled?
We have air ventilation systems installed in all of our four auditoria.
How long are the adverts and trailers before the film starts?
These normally last for between 15 and 20 minutes. This is shown in addition to the stated film running time.
What do the film certificates mean and what are they?
Every film shown is certificated at a minimum age-related restriction or suitability, set by the British Board of Film Classification. You may be asked for identification to prove your age, before admission is granted. If you cannot satisfactorily prove you meet the required age, you may be refused admission.
U It is impossible to predict what might upset any particular child. But a 'U' film should be suitable for audiences aged four years and over. 'U' films should be set within a positive moral framework and should offer reassuring counterbalances to any violence, threat or horror.
PG Unaccompanied children of any age may watch. A 'PG' film should not disturb a child aged around eight or older. However, parents are advised to consider whether the content may upset younger or more sensitive children.
12A No-one younger than 12 may see a '12A' film in a cinema unless accompanied by an adult. Responsibility for allowing under-12s to view lies with the accompanying or supervising adult.
15 No-one younger than 15 may see a '15' film in a cinema.
18 No-one younger than 18 may see an '18' film in a cinema.
I can’t watch the film trailers and video content on your website. What software or browser plug-ins do I need?

Can my children go to Broadway Cinema unaccompanied?
We always recommend you accompany your children to the cinema. However, we will admit children aged over eight years old unaccompanied.
Can I bring my baby to Broadway Cinema?
We are happy to admit 'babies in arms' during all morning or afternoon showings with a U or PG certificate.
I have a free pass. When can I use it?
Free passes are valid for any standard 2D showing, except where ‘no passes’ is stated. If you’re unsure, please get in touch in advance to check.
You must exchange your pass for the showing you require at our counter in person.
I’ve forgotten my re-usable 3D glasses. How much does a new pair cost?
3D glasses are on sale for £1. Please reuse your glasses to reduce our reliance on landfill and care for the environment.
Do you have 'booster seats' for my children?
Yes. A limited supply of 'booster seats' are available on request, on a first-come first-served basis.
