The latest Marvel superhero to make it to the big screen, Robert Downey Jr stars as Tony Stark, the billionaire arms dealer who turns into the metal-clad fighting machine known as Iron Man. Directed by Zathura’s Jon Favereau, Iron Man looks to be a classy superhero epic sure to please the fans.

Cursed by gamma radiation he has a 10ft green alter-ego - known as the Incredible Hulk - and he'll be smashing his way onto our screens in the summer in this complete re-boot of the whole Hulk franchise. Tim Roth also stars as monstrous villain, The Abomination.

The Dark Knight

Christian Bale returns as Batman in Christopher Nolan’s second take on the Dark Knight. Heath Ledger joins the cast as The Joker, the psychotic clown who starts a killing spree across Gotham City,  while Aaron Eckhart plays Harvey Dent, the crusading DA destined to become the schizophrenic Two-Face. Could we get any more excited?
